The Writer’s Block | Sprinting to Motivate and Build Community
Nothing excites me more than organizing something that can bring joy to or motivate others. That endorphin boost also serves to kick me in the pants on other individual projects, essentially a domino effect that feeds my creativity. Through understanding this about myself and attempting to step into the story writing world in a tangible way, Writer’s Block was born.
In research and experience, I’ve learned that writing sprints are an ideal way to make sure that I get some words down at a regular interval. I’ve done them solo in the past and enjoy doing things alone but accountability partners are very beneficial. Thus, the Writer’s Block. This name came from a group chat with a couple of guys I used to write about music with back in the day and one of them named our chat the Writer’s Block. The double meaning of that name is too lovely, isn’t it?
